How DoingLabel Calculates Usage Volume

Route: FAQ - [ How DoingLabel Calculates Usage Volume ]

DoingLabel’s "usage volume" refers to the total number of labels, barcodes, and QR codes actually generated by users. The calculation rules are as follows:

1. Usage Volume Sharing Rules

  • For Free Users: Usage volume is shared among all users under the same network. It is the sum of usage from all users on that network, so your usage volume may be consumed by other users on the same network. If multiple users in your network use DoingLabel, please coordinate to avoid mutual consumption of usage volume.
  • For License Code Users: Usage volume is shared among all users who use the same license code.

2. Usage Volume Consumption in Preview Scenarios

Functions that require full preview—including [View All Labels/Barcodes/QR Codes], [Print One (Label/Barcode/QR Code) per Page], [Merged Printing (Quick Layout)], [Merged Printing (Equal Rows & Columns)], and [Merged Printing (Specified Size)]—require real-time generation of all labels, barcodes, or QR codes, and thus consume usage volume.

Note: After importing a large volume of data, do not test these functions casually—they will consume a large amount of usage volume in a short time. DoingLabel recommends testing with a small batch first, and then using the functions for large batches once you are familiar with the operations.

3. Real-Time Preview During Editing (No Usage Consumption)

For real-time previews generated while editing labels, barcodes, or QR codes:

  • No usage volume is consumed if the imported data remains unchanged.
  • If the generated data changes, 1 unit of usage volume is consumed. Subsequent real-time previews during editing will not consume additional usage volume.

4. Imported Data Volume ≠ Usage Volume

Importing data does not generate labels, barcodes, or QR codes, so it does not consume usage volume. Usage volume is only calculated when you use the print or export/download functions.

Example: Importing 100 rows of data does not generate any labels, barcodes, or QR codes, so the usage volume remains 0. After batch exporting all data twice, a total of 200 labels/barcodes/QR codes are generated, so the usage volume becomes 200.

5. Daily Reset of Usage Volume

DoingLabel resets the usage volume at 00:00 Asia/Shanghai Time (UTC/GMT+08:00) every day.

DoingLabel Reminders

  1. If you have purchased a license code but still receive the prompt "Quota Used Up", your browser may not have the license code entered yet. Please check [Why Isn’t My License Code Working?].
  2. If you are a first-time user, DoingLabel recommends importing a small amount of data for testing. This avoids excessive consumption of usage volume during the trial phase. Use large batches only after you are familiar with the operations.
  3. For auto-preview functions: Avoid setting the auto-preview interval too short. Otherwise, the program will preview a large number of labels, barcodes, or QR codes in a short time, leading to rapid consumption of usage volume.
