How to Use the [Barcode] Label Component
Route: Label Generator - [ How to Use the [Barcode] Label Component ]Compared to the Deprecated Barcode component, the new version includes additional commonly used barcode functions, making it more flexible and efficient.
To add a barcode to your label template: Click the [Barcode] component icon in the left-side component panel.
Configure Barcode Text
In the [Barcode Text] section, you can set the content used to generate the barcode. Two options are available:
Option | Description |
Fixed Text | All generated labels will have the same barcode (uses the fixed text you enter). |
Dynamic text, from [Import Data] | Barcodes will be generated dynamically: the program uses data from a specified column (per row) in the [Import Data] list to create unique barcodes for each label. |

Adjust Barcode Size
To modify the barcode’s dimensions:
- Use the [Bar Width] and [Bar Height] sliders/input boxes to adjust the barcode’s internal proportions.
- For visual adjustment, drag the selection frame around the barcode in the preview area to resize it.

Set Barcode Background
- By default, the barcode uses [Transparent Background]. When this option is enabled, the [Background Color] setting will be inactive.
- To set a custom background color for the barcode:
- Uncheck [Transparent Background].
- Select your desired [Background Color] from the color picker.

Rotate the Barcode
To rotate the barcode (e.g., rotate 90 degrees for vertical placement):
Configure Barcode Footnotes
The barcode displays footnote text by default. To hide the footnotes: Uncheck [Display Barcode Footnote].
If footnotes are enabled, you can customize their display style (see the diagram below for configuration options).
Add a Border to the Barcode
To add a border around the barcode, adjust the following parameters together:
- Outer Border Size: Thickness of the border.
- Outer Border Radius: Rounded corners of the border (higher values = more rounded).
- Outer Border Color: Color of the border.
- Outer Border Type: Contains three border type: Solid Line, Dashed, Line Dot Dash.

Enable FNC Function Codes (for Specific Barcode Type)
Only the [Code128] and [GS1-128] types support FNC function codes. To use FNC codes:
- Check the [Enable FNC Function Code] option.
- In the Barcode Text, insert replacement codes {FNC1}, {FNC2}, {FNC3}, or {FNC4} at the positions where you want to add FNC codes. The program will automatically insert the corresponding FNC function codes.

How to Generate Running Numbers
To generate running numbers for barcodes:
- Go to the [Import Data] module.
- Move your mouse to the column header of the list where you want to add running numbers.
- Click [Fill Running Numbers] to generate sequential running numbers.
